Thought it was a sibling thing with the HP's. Security and important updates all at the same time and the printer just gave up and quit communicating with computer which is an HP Pavilion p6-2378 PC and printer was an HP Officejet 6500A plus e710n-z and the new one is an HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One so I It really happened on May the 16th when Microsoft installed 15 I thought it was a problem with my old printer and give it to my son as he didn't have a printer and I purchased the new one thinking it would solve the problem, still have the same issues. After the HP assistant helped me the only location available for a scan destination was the laptop not the desk top computer and all of a sudden the two test docs that I had sent earlier printed out. I didn't have any problems with my printers until I updated to WindowsĨ.1. The 4500 printer/scanner only listed the desk top as a destination for a scan and did not acknowledge the laptop. I have downloaded the latest software available and no success. To help me but they couldn't get the software to install either so they told me it to contact Microsoft as it was an OS issue. When I try to install the printer software I receive an Error message "Installation Failed".
